Don’t pat me on the head with words you think I want to hear because it’s easier or more convenient for you to scratch the surface rather than dive deep.

Don’t pat me on the head so I will comply with your standards of who and what I am to be rather than take the time to understand and celebrate who I actually am.

Don’t pat me on the head and pretend to celebrate my ambition and accomplishments while attempting to minimize me so I’m not “too much” for you.
